SECTION 504

Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act is a federal law that protects the rights of students with disabilities.

For qualifying students, a 504 Plan will be created to ensure that the student receives a free appropriate public education.

A 504 Plan may include such accommodations as preferential seating, extended time for testing, organization assistance, and behavior management (prompting, redirection, frequent feedback, etc.).
